NETWORK OF UNIVERSITIES AND EDUCATIONAL CENTRES COLLABORATING ON THE “WORLD MARCH”

Universities and educational centres have the potential to be focal points from which a new culture of Peace and Non Violence will irradiate. Their function in the coming years will be especially important.

World Without Wars makes its collection of workshops and seminars on education for Peace and Non Violence available free of charge to those active in education at all levels. We also promote all kinds of activities: meetings, forums and symposiums on the eradication of all forms of violence, among them the end of war.

The intention of this project is to raise social awareness of the need for a profound change in education, also, one that includes in its curricula education for non violence at the practical and existential levels.

The participation of educational centres is indispensable for building social awareness around the themes of Peace and Non Violence.

The terms of collaboration in the WM will be specified with the WM promotional team of the country in question.

Educational centres in countries not on the WM route may also participate by organizing events on the dates of the campaign or the lead up. Remember that the WM receives no government or corporate financial support.

Possibilities for mutual collaboration include:

* Lodging

* Offering workshops and seminars

* Meals/food

* Logistics and transportation

* Organization of events

* Communications media

* Associations and volunteer support

* Support for students wishing to participate in the March.

The contribution of educational centres that have joined and collaborated in the WM will be published in the official WM website and other WM materials.
